Designing a Therapist Web Site – My Safe Place Therapy

Designing a therapist website, just like many others, starts with a discovery call and conversation about what the customer wants. In this case, the client wanted a fresh feeling to her website, offering psychotherapy. She loved the look of plants and succulents, so we took that theme and designed around it. The web site covered all the usual elements, including services, about me, contact and using calls to actions to invite users to get in touch or read more. The site is minimalist yet gives the reader all the information they could want. The name My Safe Place was switched in the title so the reader read it as their safe place. You can click on any of the images to visit the site and look around.

Making the Website Future Proof

Breaking down the clients services into Single Session and continuing therapy works really well, and if the client adds services in the future there is already a clear area on the page to build on. This page also features the therapists training and qualifications and membership bodies. Designing a therapist web site for the future is important to us, this should be an active ingredient in any design.

Adding Dynamic Content to the Therapist Website

The client wanted to add in blog posts as a way to regularly update the site, and to share her expertise. Here we added a beautiful blog element that invites the client to read more, and as the client adds more posts this slider will rotate to offer the latest articles.

Overall, as much as this is a basic website, the client is very happy with the look and feel and is looking forward to developing it further. All our clients get a handover video and document, showing them how to write new posts and add to their blog, and the document has key information in it regarding logins, domains and other important information.
